Overview:
- WMOA is looking for Artists!
- Museum Renovation Update
- Where can I find Unexpected Company?
The Warwick Museum of Art is looking for 24 volunteer artists /
craftspeople for a unique fundraising event.
Right in the middle of a large gallery renovation project, our small
non-profit arts museum was notified that our city contributive support
has been cut due to the economic crisis. As it is, the museum runs on a
shoestring budget.
Yikes! So the WMOA has planned a unique fundraising event, but we need
artists and crafters to participate!
This is the first 24 hour Art and Craft-making Art-A-Thon ever run by
the Warwick Museum of Art.
24 Artists
24 Hours
Painting, crafting, sculpting, art making. All to benefit the continued
existence, programming, and events for the Warwick Museum of Art.
The museum take good care of you while you are participating in the
event. We'll entertain you. Fill you with coffee. Keep you motivated.
Provide the space for you to create around the clock. And more!

Update on
Renovations and Rejuvenation 2009
The Warwick Museum of Art is under construction - a large renovation and revitalization project
of the main gallery. Boxer Construction
has been working diligently with renovation. Renovations began mid
January 2009 with the demolition and removal of the old white gallery walls.
Boxer sandblasted the ancient paint from the brick. The windows
have been delivered and the hardwood flooring is still acclimating to
the environment.

The overall project plan includes: the deconstruction of the white accordion
walls, the installation of arched windows for the gallery,
sandblasting old paint off the brick, the installation of oak hard wood
flooring, a professional art installation system to hang paintings on
brick walls, portable display units, a new stage, and more!
Our Grand Reopening is being planned for
April 2009 with a fundraiser, art exhibition, comedy performances,
raffles, music and more!
Hours of Operation
The gallery will be closed until our grand reopening in April
2009. Voicemail
and email messages will be checked frequently. 401-737-0010
