Named Rhode Island’s Best Comedy Troupe by RI Monthly magazine, Unexpected Company has been continuously delighting and entertaining audiences since their inception in March of 2003. UC is Rhode Island’s most critically acclaimed and well-traveled improvisational comedy troupe, recently were voted “Best Comedy Night” by The Phoenix and “Best Comedy Troupe” by Motif Magazine. Described as ‘Pure Improv’ and ‘Wildly Popular,’ UC has introduced thousands to a form of comedy rarely seen in New England.

Based out of Warwick, Rhode Island, Unexpected Company performs a ‘free-wheeling, yet contained’ improv show inspired by truthful monologues based on an audience suggestion. Their super-energized and fast-paced comedy sets explore the depth, meaning, themes, and unique nuances of these monologues while still managing to show their ‘ludicrous brilliance.’
